I don't know about the numbers they drew, but I do know that Guerrero had more success at the tag level and worked successfully as a heel and as a face in the company.

But it's pretty close. It all comes down to outward charisma. Eddy was able to run with that stupid gimmick and Benoit didn't have that luxory.

Benoit has a slight edge as a worker but Eddy has the edge on promo ability and (perceived) box office appeal.

 

This wouldn't have been as close if Eddy hadn't wigged out overseas then lost the title to Bradshaw.
