Fun enough but pretty minor stuff. Genichiro Tenryu vs. Ashura Hara - This started slow but picked up with a nifty exchange of cutoffs and counters that climaxed with one of the better double clotheslines I've seen. Unfortunately, Hara held Tenryu outside for the countout rather than building from there. Yoshiaki Yatsu/Riki Choshu vs. Shunji Takano/SUPER STRONG MACHINE - Khan was at ringside in his executioner hood and he choked Choshu with a length of rope before the bell. Takano and SSM took advantage and beat on Riki for a few minutes until he got out of trouble with a lariat. Yatsu went back and forth with them for a bit and then Riki finished it with a lariat shortly after tagging back in. This was more about Khan's attack than the match itself. Takashi Ishikawa/JUMBO TSURUTA vs. TED DIBIASE/STAN HANSEN - I expected Ishikawa to do little more than eat punishment, but he really drilled Hansen with some punches and a nasty elbow from the top rope. But as usual in such cases, he overextended himself and ate a lariat when Jumbo got distracted with Dibiase on the outside. This was a solid little tag but won't stand up to the thick competition. July5:Korakuen Hall (aired 7/12/86) Kuniaki Kobayashi vs. Pete Roberts - Clip. Tiger Mask/JUMBO TSURUTA vs. Isamu Teranishi/Yoshiaki Yatsu - Reviewed on Classics. ANIMAL HAMAGUCHI/ Choshu vs. Super Strong Machine/Killer Khan - SSM tried to hang Choshu before the bell again. Then he and Khan spent most of the match savaging Hamaguchi, who bled a bunch and did a great job selling. I marked out when he hit clothesline out of the corner and tagged Choshu, who had been desperately trying to help him. Choshu got in one lariat and the beginning of a scorpion before Khan came in and choked him with the rope again. The match didn't rise to nomination level, but this made for a very effective segment of television. We should definitely include an extras package on the Khan-Choshu feud, and this should be a prime part of it. Genichiro Tenryu/GIANT BABA vs. TED DIBIASE/STAN HANSEN - Reviewed on Classics.
