Me and Will were talking about this match last night. It is one of my all time favorite wrestling moments when the Freebirds make their awesome return and destroy the Von Erichs. Marc Lowrance with his all time great call seals the deal for me when the Freebirds appear, " The Devil has reappeared here at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum and there goes Kevin into the orchestra pit"!

 

 

To follow this up there is a fantastic Freebirds promo after there glorious return where Bill Mercer is interviewing them in some bar and Mercer is questioning their questionable tactics in regaining the world six man title and that the tape has mysteriously disappeared. At that moment Roberts pulls out a tape and destroys it. Its hilarious, anytime Mercer was interviewing the Freebirds it was quite entertaining in my opinion. This promo is on one of Romdam discs. Not sure which one thou. Its on one of the later 40s if I remember right.

OK the set proper will be right at around 10 discs with 2 extras. However, with all the different things going on, I can easily put together 3 discs of extras similar to the Memphis set.

It was brought up in another thread, where is the Fritz int where he kills off Lance von Erich?

It's funny...I've seen that interview before. We all know it was filmed and that the footage is out there. But I don't remember seeing it on any of the discs we got.

 

Also, Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy vs. Iceman King Parsons (9/9/88) is listed twice in the matches section on two different discs.

The Fritz interview was in 1987 which is what we had the least of and I know I didn't see it.

I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

It was only aired locally and there are clips in WWE's WCCW doc.

OK the set proper will be right at around 10 discs with 2 extras. However, with all the different things going on, I can easily put together 3 discs of extras similar to the Memphis set.

That's definitely the way to go. I've just spent the last little while trying to cobble together my own list of must haves. Between the stuff I picked from the list, plus a bunch of stuff not on it that I thought was needed, I think I ended up with a longer list than the one you started out with. So much for whittling things down...there is a staggering amount of high-end extra material here.

I went through all 53 Romdam discs first and extracted everything from there that was listed as an extra since there is alot of overlap. From there, I will go through the Legends and extract those segments. Then McAdam and so on.
