This started with about 10 minutes of solid back-and-forth action. But they really got my attention when Choshu knocked Fuyuki off the top turnbuckle with a lariat and Fuyuki re-entered the ring with a bad cut. Choshu and Yatsu worked the cut with some nasty punches and top-rope double teams, and Fuyuki ended up with a Masa-Saito-level gusher. Tenryu made a great save, catching Yatsu with a lariat in the middle of an attempted bulldog. That set up a hot tag, and Tenryu cleaned house for a few minutes before giving Fuyuki his shot at revenge. It was fun to see Fuyuki -- a bloody, tubby mess -- hit a big splash off the top. Yatsu, however, turned the tide on the wounded man. Tenryu tried to make a another save but in a nifty reverse of the previous spot, Choshu caught him with a lariat and followed with a big lariat on Fuyuki for the win. Tenryu couldn't stomach the result and hurt Choshu's ribs with an attack at ringside, setting up their great singles match the following week. The crowd stayed oddly subdued, but between the blood, the cool saves from the apron and the post-match attack, I thought this was pretty damn good. Nomination.

Samson Fuyuki/Genichiro Tenryu vs. Yoshiaki Yatsu/Riki Choshu, 8/25/86 (TV 18)

- Nice basic matwork early on in the dark. No one gaining real control but it looks pretty. Initially, I thought Yatsu would be native in peril but it was Fuyuki who ended up in the most danger after a nasty Choshu lariat to the floor from the turnbuckle. This left Fuyuki a bloody mess and then the real fun starts. IN one of my favorite spots, Fuyuki comes off the ropes and Choshu levels him like Duggan nailing Dibiase with a Coal Miner’s Glove. God, the abuse is sick. Nice save by Tenryu who stops a bulldog by giving Yatsu a lariat. Sounds cooler than I describe it. Hot ending with a sick lariat and I back this nomination 100%!

Riki Choshu & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Samson Fuyuki & Genichiro Tenryu (8/25/86)

Fuyuki has quite the belly here. The lights went out in the building during the intros which was something so they shined a spotlight in the ring which gave this a cool look. This was a solid match with everyone working hard and Fuyuki was hanging tough with the big guys until he ate a Choshu lariat from the top turnbuckle then got posted where he would juice pretty heavily. Choshu & Yatsu then just beat the hell out of Fuyuki who was bleeding all over the ring with Tenryu trying to help as much as he can until he got the tag where he would work over Yatsu until Fuyuki came back in bloody mounting his offense until he was too weak to continue and he was caught with a spike piledriver. Choshu then went for a lariat but Tenryu came in to eat it for Fuyuki so Choshu hit him then got Fuyuki for the win. The brawl continued after the match with Tenryu injuring Choshu's ribs. This was really fun and the blood was a major plus so this moves forward easily.
