Posted June 30, 201015 yr comment_5452587 I didn't care to see them fight over armbars for the first few minutes. But out of nowhere, Riki ripped half of SSM's mask off and the fight was on. SSM fired back with punches and kicks and scored a nearfall off his suplex finisher. Choshu came up selling his rib injury again but fought back to earn his own nearfall off a lariat. When that didn't work, he just punched SSM in the face a bunch. I didn't mind that they brawled to a double countout. This absolutely had the feel of a fight between guys who hated each other. It wasn't anywhere near the level of the Choshu-Khan match, but still, such antipathy merits a nomination. 1986 All Japan TV Disc 19
September 21, 201015 yr comment_5456072 Solid work early on but way too civil for my liking. Machine works out of a headlock and Choshu attempts the Scorpion. IT picks up fast when Choshu starts ripping at the mask and they start fighting. Machine is now kicking the shit out of Choshu and attacking the ribs of Choshu. Minus points for the ribcage nerve hold. Good stretch run with Choshu nailing Machine with some lariats and they brawl outside for the countout finish. This was fun but I can’t give it anything higher than a low level nomination.
October 6, 201014 yr comment_5456843 Riki Choshu vs. Super Strong Machine (9/20/86) You would think they would come out blazing just throwing bombs but they start off with matwork which was dull. The action would start heating up and it went full bore when Choshu ripped the mask almost half off pissing off Machine and the war was on. Machine started pulling out all the stops to finish off Choshu before missing a big diving headbutt off the top rope allowing Choshu to come back with a big lariat. Choshu then went back to work on the open mask but Machine came back with a lariat of his own which sent Choshu to the floor where they would brawl to the double countout. Cheap ending of course but this was a really fun heated brawl and should move forward.
