Posted July 1, 201015 yr comment_5452629 Choshu/Teranishi vs. Tenryu/Tiger Mask - They wasted no time getting going as Tenryu slapped Choshu at the bell and Choshu retaliated with a lariat. Tenryu then went after Choshu's taped ribs. In general, the match was hot when Choshu and Tenryu were in and less so when Teranishi matched up with Misawa. In theory, I liked the idea of Choshu getting counted out because of his ribs, but they didn't do a great job setting it up. Most of the rib work came early in the match, and Choshu ended up outside because of an exaggerated bump off of his own move. It didn't click for me, and the match, though decent, failed to live up to its early promise. Jumbo/Ishikawa vs. Hansen/Super Medico - I was amused that both Hansen/Medico tags turned on miscommunication between the Texan and the Mexican. In this case, poor Medico ate a lariat intended for Ishikawa. Hansen then beat up his partner post-match. They rushed through most of the match, however, and it wasn't anything special.
