Posted December 12, 200718 yr comment_5425122 Jay Youngblood vs. The Destroyer (Apache Strap match) (3/8/81) - I enjoyed this one more than the Oliver strap match. Right off the bat, I am taken by surprise as Destroyer is stalling outside the ring until Youngblood yanks him in by the strap to get the match started. Youngblood busts Destroyer open outside and starts tearing at the mask to let the blood flow. The post-match interview sets up a title match for the next week. Another nomination. (Lynch Vol. 5)
April 13, 201115 yr comment_5469827 Though I loved Destroyer bleeding through his mask, I enjoyed this less than the strap match against Oliver. Youngblood just never seemed in any danger at all, and they didn't do as much with the stip. No vote for me.
