Posted January 17, 200818 yr comment_5427233 Buddy Rose vs. David Schultz (Cage Match) (15:57) - Dr. D is not a good wrestler. Almost everything about this match that is memorable is due to Buddy's bumping, selling, bleeding and stooging. D reminds me of a smaller, less roided Sid who looks lost in the ring. He does have a sweet piledriver though. Still, there is enough blood, big bumping and Buddy Rose love to nominate this one. (Lynch Portland Vol. 8.1)
August 23, 201015 yr comment_5454881 This was alright but kinda anti climatic. I love Schultz as a character and a promo. He does have a Stone Cold feel to him. Still Rose is his usual great self and makes it a low end nomination.
April 6, 201115 yr comment_5469217 Oliver and sawyer are handcuffed to the Cage which looks fucking huge in the Portland Sports Arena. Cool visual with Buddy trying to escape early and the Cage being so big relative to the building that you can't even see all of Rose as Schultz pulls him down. Rose gets beat to shit early and takes a nice piledriver for a near fall. Buddy is a bloody mess and goes to the balls to take over on offense. I enjoyed Rose's control segment in large part because of how rabid the crowd was for every near fall. Schultz makes a comeback and Rose tries to escape but Oliver ends up throwing knucks to Rose who wins. Not a great match but I feel like this should probably be on the set. Post-match brawl was fun.
May 6, 201114 yr comment_5470806 I liked Buddy going for the top of the cage right away. Man, he tried to put Schultz over as a badass, but Dr. D's prolonged beatdown looked like shit anyway. Well, aside from the piledriver. I wanted more Buddy on offense, though I understand why that wouldn't have made a ton of sense for the match. It's just hard to buy a heel acting petrified when his offense is so much better than that of his attacker. The ending at least fit the story. I don't disagree with the stuff you guys said about this one, but I feel no motivation to put it on the set.
