Posted March 31, 200818 yr comment_5430266 Riki Choshu vs. Killer Khan (7/31/86) - I want to watch the 1986 TV to see what happened where Khan is no longer on Choshu’s side since I just saw him fight Dibiase in the last match. I can’t decide if this one is my favorite Khan match or if the Gordy World Class one takes the nod. I thought it was the Gordy one but this really stood out with the stiff strikes and Khan’s insane blade job off a ring-post bump. Khan’s knee drops looked especially nasty. The big lariats at the end had the crowd going nuts and this is a definite nomination. I know it will make the final cut but I want to see the final listing before I predict how high it will go on my list. (Samurai Retro Classics #10)
April 26, 201015 yr comment_5449997 That was a crazy-ass blade job by Khan, and both guys created an epic feeling with their selling of all the damage. I loved Khan running around ringside insisting that he had pinned Choshu after his top-rope knee drop. The finishing lariats felt like an appropriate end to a big-time slugfest. Definite yes and a top 20-30 contender.
September 27, 201015 yr comment_5456319 Riki Choshu vs. Killer Khan (7/31/86) Khan has turned against Choshu and joined the Calgary Hurricanes (Hiro Saito/Super Strong Machine/Shunji Takano) and debuts his new hair growth so this is a big grudge match. Yeah this was a hard hitting match with everything seemed like it hurt with Khan really laying in the knee drops. Khan was posted by Choshu but it didn't look hard although he tapped a big gusher on the bladejob that Choshu would of course work over. Khan fighting through the blood loss was great and the top rope kneedrop was huge as he thought he had Choshu beat then pleading to the crowd and Tiger Hattori that he pinned Choshu before going back to the ring. Khan would then choke Choshu a while before he answered back with a couple of backdrop suplexes then a couple of lariats before finally finishing off Khan. This was a tremendous match and a slam dunk nomination.
